The Challenge:
Egnite was a brand new restaurant in the heart of Chingford with zero online presence and no local reputation. The goal? Launch a soft opening before the end of 2025, in a matter of weeks, a tough ask.
The owner was consumed with operational priorities like securing waiting staff and fine tuning the venue for the arrival of guests. Building a marketing foundation wasn't at the forefront of his mind, but without it, the launch risked being unsuccessful.
What I Did:
Social Media Marketing
- Grew Instagram following from 29 to 139 followers before the soft launch
- Utilised organic content and paid advertising to maximise reach
- Created and scheduled consistent posts to build buzz and anticipation
Soft Launch Campaign
- Planned and executed promotional strategy for the soft launch event
- Coordinated outreach to local vendors and partners for event support
- Briefed photographers on desired content and brand positioning
- Conducted local outreach to businesses within proximity of Egnite to build community awareness
Digital Foundation
- Built a functional website with essential information, including integration with a third-party reservation and booking platform
- Established digital presence across key channels to ensure Egnite was discoverable ahead of launch
Operational Support
- Managed vendor communications, payments, and coordination
- Handled marketing execution end-to-end so the owner could focus entirely on venue operations and staffing
